This University is put on a 49 hectare campus at Robina on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The degree program gives students the ideal mix of theory and practice, combining foundational studies in Communication and Media with focused studies in professional disciplines including Journalism and Public Relations to give graduates a career edge. It also allows students to pursue focused studies in the fields of Corporate Communication and Media and Advertising. The degree allows for a range of combinations of these studies, with students able to select a package which will give then the best of both worlds; excellent career prospects and a stimulating course of study. Professional Outcomes Students are immersed in a range of professional experiences to give them a taste for the media careers to which they are aspiring. At the same time a sound theoretical framework underpins the studies so that students enter the communication and media industries understanding how to perform professional tasks and also knowing why such tasks are important to their work. Entry Requirements: Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent, Bond College Certificate. Work Experience & Internships Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, choose to undertake an internship as part of their degree. This intensely practical professional development approach fosters graduates who are ready, willing and able to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in the workplace. Attendance Most students undertake four subjects per semester (equivalent to 40 credit points). You may, however, enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a longer period. Bond's Teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects. Combined Degrees Students can combine this degree with any other undergraduate degree at Bond (except Medicine) to suit their professional and personal interests. Bond's three-semester academic year allows students to complete two degrees in the same time it would take to complete just one degree at other universities (dependant upon degree combination).
