The international financial system, and Australia in particular, has been at the forefront of many sweeping business changes that has seen a considerable increase in financial and economic activity as business has become increasingly global in operation.

The anticipation of financial needs, acquisition of financial resources and the allocation of funds, are all fundamental principles which you will study. Consideration of international trends and impacts on interest rates, corporate financial performance and investment trends will also be studied, preparing you for the rapidly changing business environment of the 21st century.

Case studies will be provided for you to learn real-world examples of how decision making and planning of financial issues within business actually occurs. You will gain an appreciation how values or prices of financial assets are derived and why businesses have the made the decisions they did.
