The University of Ballarat had its starting in 1870, making it to a very old tertiary institution in Australia. The aim of this course is to provide stimulating and rigorous studies at degree level in accountancy and other disciplines relevant to business, which together with professional experience, will contribute to the future supply of qualified accounts. Therefore, the underlying focus of this course will be on the fundamental concepts which enable students to become skilled professionals in accounting. In order to be eligible for the award, students need to complete a minimum of eight Accounting units, plus Organisations Law and Income Tax Practice.
