Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management)About the course As a graduate of the Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management) you will be qualified to work in the dynamic tourism management industry in tourism development, management, policy and marketing positions. The program adopts an integrated approach to tourism studies and encourages students to gain expertise in another area of specialisation. There is a wide variety of joint study sequences or electives available for you to choose from to support your specialist studies. Graduates are exposed to a wide range of human resource, financial management, marketing, planning and ethical issues that industry leaders must face. Where it will take you The tourism management specialisation opens the door to career opportunities in all sectors of the industry including transportation, accommodation, tourism promotion, the travel trade, and government. Graduation requirements To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points (24 subjects). These subjects are a combination of core subjects, specialisation subjects and electives. All distance education students are required to have access to a personal computer (IBM PC or compatible) and spreadsheet software capable of reading Excel and/or Lotus 1-2-3 files.
