Overview

Description:
 Theatre studies at JCU are available within the Bachelor of Arts. The course focuses on the practical and theoretical study of plays as performance texts, and provides an introduction to acting, directing and writing for the theatre.

Career Opportunities

Graduates can pursue careers in theatre and arts administration roles or, with further study, gain a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor of Education to teach drama at a secondary level.

Honours

An Honours program is available for those students who demonstrate high academic performance. Honours consists of an extra year of study and the development of a personal research project and thesis. An Honours degree is usually essential for entry to research higher degrees. The Faculty also offers a wide range of postgraduate study opportunities.
