Bachelor of Arts (Psychology)Assessment (Internat.) 12-15000 word Thesis, plus essay/research essay/oral/seminar presentation/annotated bibliography. Mastery of WAIS-III, Psychology Assessment Report/Psychology Assessment Report. Ethics approval if required. The Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) (Honours) course comprises extensive, specialist study in both professional psychology and psychological research. With a strong research emphasis, students plan, implement and report on a Research Project under supervision, in addition to undertaking a number of core units (Professional Psychology, Psychological Research, Psychological Review and Psychological Assessment). As an Honours course, it is aimed at students who wish to engage in research. Successful graduates will be eligible to pursue an accredited Masters course in psychology and, after the prerequisite period of supervised practice, register as a psychologist in Victoria. This course has been designed to meet Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accreditation guidelines, making it an approved fourth-year psychology degree. Graduates of this course are eligible to apply for Associate Membership of the APS, and are equipped to engage in further postgraduate study or work in a research or psychology-related field. International students wishing to apply for RPL and Credit Transfer are required to provide syllabus of previous study undertaken at time of applying for course. Not all courses offer RPL and Credit Transfer.
