About the course

The course aims to provide the student with an understanding of the role of research as applied to the practice of Fine Art and with a pathway towards Postgraduate study.

Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to:

  • demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the theories of criticism
  • demonstrate an understanding of the field of Fine Art in an historical and contemporary context
  • demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the development of Fine Art in the context of the related industries
  • create and mount a solo exhibition of Fine Art works
  • undertake further postgraduate study in a University context.

Students who have achieved a Grade Point Average of Credit or above, are eligible to apply for entry to the Honours program.

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
