This course aims to provide both a liberal education and skills development focused on managerial decision making, business and personal leadership, the ethics of values-based management and relevant work experience. It is designed for students who wish to combine the benefits of a liberal education with specific skills focusing on accounting, financial services, human resource management, international business or marketing.

Note: In Sydney the course is offered over two campuses. Students undertake three of the four units in Years 1 and 2 of the course at the Strathfield Campus and all units in Years 3 and 4 of the course at the North Sydney campus.

Graduate career options in a range of business-related fields will be broadened by generic communication and problem-solving skills developed in the Bachelor of Arts component of the combined degree course.

In keeping with the Mission of the University, several units within the degree focus on business ethics and personal values of the individual in a workplace setting. Two compulsory units of Professional Industry Experience are also incorporated in the degree. The Professional Industry Experience is designed to assist students to link their studies to the 'real world' of work, and to assist in gaining career employment on graduation.
