The program includes in-depth studies in physics, including courses that introduce you to problems and applications in research and industry. You will also undertake individual research projects of an applied nature in which you will solve real problems and compile evidence of practical competence to show prospective employers. By studying the Bachelor of Applied Physics you will learn the languages and concepts that today’s complex technological society demands.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
On completion of this program you will be qualified to work in diverse fields such as exploration geophysics, medical physics, research laboratories like CSIRO, DSTO (materials, image analysis, signal processing), research (geophysics, astrophysics, atomic physics, surface science), tertiary and secondary education, materials evaluation, electronic design and maintenance, acoustics/environmental measurement and pollution control, laser technology and energy production processes.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
On completion of the Bachelor of Applied Physics you will be eligible to apply for professional accreditation with the Australian Institute of Physics.

STUDY REQUIREMENTS
If you are studying by distance education there are some compulsory residential schools dependent on courses selected.
