Bachelor of Applied Modelling
Description: Modellers are mathematical analysts. They convert complex data sets into a simplified mathematical description or model to assist decision makers in formulating calculations and predictions. Modelled outputs improve our understanding of a situation and allow managers and policy makers to plan ahead using reliable data-based predictions. JCU’s Bachelor of Applied Modelling comprises core subjects that build skills and capability in quantitative analyses methods, programming, communication and project management. A noncore component allows students to expand their knowledge to include one of the many majors from many different disciplines (ie the natural sciences, finance & economics, or the social sciences). Graduates will be qualified to apply models.
