Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Dance)

The Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Dance) aims to prepare the talented practitioner for the demands of mainstream dance companies in Australia and overseas by providing intense practical experience, both technical and stylistic, in classes and performance opportunities.

Course Structure

This course comprises of three year full-time study. Personalised tuition concentrates on challenging the particular strengths of the developing dance artist. Daily classes in variations, pointe, repertoire and pas de deux. Additional classes in contemporary dance include repertoire, contemporary partnering and compositional studies. Theoretical subjects contribute to the understanding of dance by placing practical work in its anatomical, analytical, historical, musical, dramatic and professional contexts. Graduate Opportunities

Graduates will be skilled in various segments of dance including stylistic dance and technical dance.
