Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing)

  • Duration: 1.5 Years
  • Note: one year of study is equivalent to not less than 36 weeks of instruction.
  • Course Type: Training Package Qualification
  • Entry Requirements: Students must show the academic and personal qualities necessary to undertake tertiary studies. This means the satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent and the ability to study in English demonstrated by an IELTS score of 5.5 or better. Entry to the Bachelor of Business (Marketing and International Business) is satisfactory completion of the Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing).
  • Commencement Details: January and July
  • Assessment Method: Modules
    Module based assessment used such as tests, practicals.
  • Expected Employment Outcome Example: Qualifications are useful for those seeking work as sales representatives; general support workers in marketing, sales and advertising offices; and small business owners and managers. Broad based training includes marketing and customer relations; supervisory and frontline management skills; customer service planning and development; developing and operating a business plan; financial and business planning; selling; advertising, marketing communication plan; and creative concepts.
  • Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
  • Skills Covered:
    Developing a marketing plan; developing and managing direct marketing campaigns; developing marketing strategies; evaluating international marketing opportunities; managing the marketing process; and human resource management electives.
