Description »
This course provides students with theoretical and practical skills and knowledge for careers in accounting and finance.
The Certificate III in Financial Services (Accounts Clerical) will meet your needs for entry-level work in accounting. The course covers routine duties in accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, cashier duties, preparation of trial balances, bookkeeping, cash receipts/cash payments, purchases and sales and preparation of financial reports. You will learn manual and computerised accounts systems.

The Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting) is for employees who perform duties such as BAS statements, operational reporting, preparing of budgets, classifying, recording and reporting duties and who also may manage a small office.

The Diploma of Accounting focuses on skills required for the management and administration of accounting functions including budgeting and forecasting, preparation of financial reports for reporting entities, internal control, preparation of income tax returns and legislative compliance.

The Advanced Diploma of Accounting fulfils the requirements for accounting careers in taxation, financial management and modelling, auditing and general accounting in public accounting practices, banking, finance and insurance industries, the public service sector and the retail and service industries. This qualification provides a pathway to becoming a Registered Tax Agent. Advanced Diploma of Accounting graduates will be able to articulate into Higher Education with considerable advanced standing.
