How to apply to an Australian School

You can obtain detailed information about study opportunities in Australia by completing our fast and direct “Enquiry” form. Each Education and Training Sector has its own entry pre-requisites what we can send you information about as we know what your interest is.

1. While waiting you can start preparing for the application process and life abroad by:

  • Collect information about the countries and areas where you intend to study.
  • Visit online forums of those people who already there and get up to date information.
  • Remember we only stand for helping in enrolment to courses. The rest of the success mostly depends on your effort!
  • Please note that you need to provide evidences of your previous study and proficiency in English language. Be prepared to have copies of these documents to be sent to us either by post, fax or email.
  • We also advice you to do a research and became familiar on different payment options such as money transfers by banks or other financial institutions to overseas, transfers via online. It is important to know about this practices when you pay tuition fees, health insurance, air ticket, accommodation etc. either from home or abroad. To avoid stress and disappointment we strongly advice not to rely on using bank and credit cards abroad as you used them at home. Some works some not!

2. Read the information received and decide upon an institution and course.

3. Complete all application forms carefully. If you’re not sure the answer, leave it blank and when you’re done send us an email with all your questions and uncertain answers.

4. We will advise you what documentation you will need to prepare, and whether you will be required to take an English language proficiency test if you don’t have one. Some institutions accept local English exams or living experiences in English speaking country as well. It can waive you to take the test.

5. Indicate which Visa you intend to apply for on your application form. There are 3 main types of visas with various conditions with regard to study:

  • Tourist Visa:

Allows study for up to 12 weeks, in cases where study is not the main purpose of the visit.

  • Working Holiday Visa:

It allows you work or study or both. Allows you study for up to 12 weeks. During study only part time work allowed (max 20 hours per week). Also allows you to work full time at one employer at a time up to 12 weeks when you do not work. This is a quite flexible option of study work and travel in the same time for eligible people.

  • Student Visa:

Student visa eligibility and conditions of entry vary from one country to another. Once granted your visa will be issued for the duration of your course, plus four weeks extra after the course finishes. All student Visa holders must pay for Overseas Student Health Cover, to cover the costs of any medical or hospital treatment needed during your stay in Australia.
You also can visit our sub-site about student visas or the Australian Governement website at www.immi.gov.au/students/index.html

6. Contact your nearest Australian Embassy or Consulate and request information on how to apply and pay for your chosen visa. For a student visa you must have a medical examination and chest x-ray. Special forms will be provided for the doctor to complete.

7. Mail or fax, your chosen College enrolment form to us. Then we will send an invoice advising you of the amount of fees you will need to pay. If you are successful the institution will send you an enrolment letter and invoices.

8. Pay your tuition fees. You can make your payment by either Bank Cheque or telegraphic transfer to us. Send us a copy of your bank receipt to show that your fees have been paid.

9. When applying for a Student Visa, the school will email a Confirmation of Enrolment Form (COE) to the Australian Embassy at which you are applying.

10. Apply for a Visa. You should ask the Embassy staff how long it will take to process your visa application, and then make flight reservations accordingly. You may also be asked to visit an Australian Diplomatic Mission for an interview as part of the visa process. If your Visa Application is rejected, all tuition fees will be refunded in full. If successful, you will get a "multiple entry" visa allowing you to travel backwards and forwards to Australia within the period for which it has been granted.

11. If airport pick-up is required, please advise your school or agent your flight details - airline, flight number, and time of arrival.
